Turkey

Turkey, the mascot of Thanksgiving, evolved in North America over 20 million years ago. Aswell as being all about the stuffing and the cranberry sauce, turkeys are all about the wattle, or snood, hanging down from the male beak. Female turkeys prefer to mate with long-snooded males so his snood becomes redder and longer in the mating dance or strut. The adult turkey can have 6,000 feathers so you can be thankful someone else is doing the plucking. We hope your Metalbird turkey will be a reminder of some fine times around the Thanksgiving table.
